The head area of a tadpole of the African clawed frog. A blue fluorescent dye makes the genetic information in the skin€s cell nuclei radiate. The green dye comes from the compound phalloidine that binds to the cell skeleton and is coupled with a green fluorescent dye. The coloration of the sideline organ is particularly intense. Also the eye, which is covered by skin, is characterized by an intensive green coloration. The mouth opening is clearly visible on the right hand side of the image.
